About Four Diamonds

At just 23, Angel Tarango discovered her calling in a college wastewater class. Fascinated by the complexity, she dove in and passed her Grade 1 Wastewater Exam. From there she moved up to Water Treatment Grade 1 & 2. While continuing to work, she enrolled in CSUS Office of Water Programs remote course and obtained her Distribution Grade 2 certification.

Still not satisfied, she then earned her Grade 3 Water Treatment Certification and Grade 3 Distribution Certification.

A few years later, Angel received her Grade 4 Water Treatment Certification, one of just a few women to do so. She has also passed her Grade 4 Distribution Exam and is working hard to obtain the required hours for certification.

In recognition of her skills, dedication, and support of colleagues, Cal Rural Water named Angel Operator of the Year in 2023.

In addition to growing her own business, Angel continues to encourage and inspire women to enter any industry that interests them.
